A Holter Monitor is a portable medical device used to continuously record your heart’s electrical activity, typically for 24 to 48 hours. It helps doctors detect irregular heart rhythms, palpitations, or other cardiac issues that may not appear during a short ECG test. The device is lightweight and worn throughout daily activities, providing a detailed record of how your heart functions over time.

Using a Holter Monitor is simple and non-invasive. Small electrode patches are placed on the chest and connected to the monitor, which records heart activity as you go about your routine. Patients are advised to note any symptoms such as dizziness, chest pain, or shortness of breath during the monitoring period. The collected data is then analyzed by a cardiologist to diagnose or monitor heart conditions accurately.
