Dr. Gaurav Sharma completed his MBBS degree from GMC, Aurangabad in 2009 and fulfilled his mandatory internship at GMCH Aurangabad from 2009 to 2010. He pursued his specialization in DNB General Surgery at Government General Hospital, Chandigarh, under the guidance of Dr. Sarabjit Singh. Later, he furthered his expertise by undertaking DNB Urology at the prestigious Asian Institute of Nephrology and Urology (AINU) in Hyderabad from 2017 to 2020, where he was mentored by Dr. C. Mallikarjuna, the current USI president. 

During his training, Dr. Sharma gained proficiency in various urological procedures, including laparoscopic surgeries, under the guidance of Dr. C. Mallikarjuna. He also received specialized training in uro-oncological surgeries, such as radical and partial nephrectomy, radical prostatectomy, radical cystectomy with ileal conduit, partial and total penectomy, as well as high inguinal orchidectomy. Additionally, he assisted in over 50 renal transplantation surgeries, further enhancing his skills and experience in the field.
